Draft for legal review
1. The short version
Use LaunchFaro to list your own product, honestly, on directories that accept free listings. Do not use it to deceive people or directories, to get around their protections, or to promote anything illegal.
2. Your own products only
- Add only products you own or have written permission to promote. Do not list a competitor's product, a product you do not control, or a domain you cannot show you manage.
- Agencies must have each client's permission before adding the client's product, and must keep it on record.
- The same product is listed once per directory. Do not try to create duplicate or "variant" listings of one product to gain extra links.
3. Honest listings
- Descriptions, names, categories, screenshots and links must be accurate and about the product. No claims you cannot support (for example rankings, user numbers, awards or partnerships that do not exist).
- No keyword stuffing, misleading titles, hidden redirects, cloaking, or links to a different product than the one described.
- No fake reviews, ratings, testimonials or endorsements, and no incentives conditioned on a positive review. We never write or place reviews for you.
- Do not use identities that are not yours. The contact details on a listing must be a real person or role who can answer.
4. Do not circumvent protections
- Do not ask the Service to solve a captcha, bypass a challenge or a login, rotate identities to avoid a limit, disguise the automation, or ignore a directory's robots.txt or rate limits. It will not do these things, and attempts to make it do them are a breach of this policy.
- Do not use your own tools to defeat the pause, stop or opt-out controls on a directory.
- When a task is handed to you, complete it yourself, honestly, in your own name.
5. Not allowed to promote
Illegal products or services; adult or sexually explicit content; products designed to deceive, defraud, stalk or harm; malware, phishing or credential-harvesting; counterfeit goods; weapons, drugs and other regulated goods where the promotion is unlawful; hate or harassment; products that infringe someone's intellectual property; and anything a directory's own rules exclude. We may refuse or remove any product we reasonably believe falls in these groups.
6. Respect the Service and other people
No attempts to probe, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the Service; no accessing another customer's data; no sharing your account with unrelated businesses; no sending the Service content that is unlawful or that you have no right to give us.
7. Directories can opt out
A directory operator can ask us to stop submitting to it. When we confirm such a request we stop for every customer, and your campaign shows that directory as stopped. You must not submit around it using our packs on that directory's behalf if the operator has told us your submission would be unwelcome. See Abuse and Takedown.
8. What happens if you break this policy
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove a product or listing from a campaign, pause your campaigns, ask you to correct the problem, suspend or end your account without refund for the period affected where the breach was deliberate, tell a directory or authority when the law or their terms require it, and keep evidence. Where we can, we tell you what we found and give you a chance to respond.
9. Reporting
To report misuse of the Service by a customer, write to [to be completed: operator.abuseEmail]. We answer reports within 2 business days.
